Day 1 – welcome Palma

Arrive in Palma and transfer to the hotel on your own. The travel begins from Palma, it gives you the opportunity to discover the most attractive places and monuments of the island’s capital. The hotel is conveniently located in the heart of the old town, in the traditional fishing district of Puig San Pere. Just relax, take in the local lifestyle and enjoy the pictured perfect scenery. Our local representative will meet you at the hotel for your orientation in the afternoon.

Day 2 – PALMA TO CAMPANET VIA ALARO’ Distance 67  Km/ 42 miles

The bike ride starts from Palma .  You  will exit the city riding along long stretches of dedicated cycle lanes – a cycle path. That is good to reach  north of Palma and take   secondary roads.
Cycling is easy, rolling hills – pass very small villages and after 40 km ride you can stop at Alarò in the Placa de la Vila. Other 10 km and you will pass Lloseta and soon after Biniamar- perfect place for a lunch – taking secondary roads you will arrive to Campanet and  after 2 km you’ll reach your accommodation. The hotel  Agriturismo Monnaber Nou  is   the  perfect base for cyclists and is considered the bike hotel for the  entire island- beautiful pool and spa to relax after this ride.

Day 3 – LOOP TO  POLLENÇA AND CAP FORMENTOR Distance  88  Km/ 55  miles or shorter option 56 km

Start your bike ride form Monnaber and ride in rural road to reach Pollença after 16 km, the town is a hub for cyclists, particularly popular with the British – Sir Bradley Wiggins has an apartment on the seafront – and is a good starting point to ease yourself into a long day in the mountains or to explore the flatter hinterland. Pass through  all the historical town by bike and  continue the ride to Port de Pollenca – from here starts the challenging  part of the day-  reach Cap de Formentor, the thin and rocky peninsula that forms the north side of the Badía de Pollença, and ends at the extreme northeast tip of the island of Mallorca. You will ride untill the lighthouse at the tip of the peninsula, enjoying the spectacular scenery along the way.

The shorter option and easier ride is visiting  Alcudia instead of going  to cap Formentor.

Back to you hotel and enjoy the spa .

Day 4 – CAMPANET  TO SÓLLER Distance 53 Km/ 33 miles

Ready for a challenging day of biking? Much of today’s breathtaking hilly ride follows the spine of the Tramuntana range on the remote pristine western side of Mallorca.

Keep in mind that tomorrow’s routes are even more tough so save some energy! Start out by pedaling along narrow, well paved roads—dedicated bike routes—into the countryside past picturesque farmland, windmills and drystone walls. Pass little village Muscari, Selva and Caimari about 12 km to warm up your muscles. Now start the climb that brings you to Col de sa Bataia and Sanctuary Lluc, it is a secular national symbol, is an unexpected oasis of tranquillity, of spirituality, of artistic heritage (the Museum), of unspoilt countryside (the Tramuntana mountains and the Botanic Garden), and of Mallorcan cuisine .

You got it but It is not finished , you have 33 more km to go  !!!  You have now to continue until you reach Sóller, biking near the reservoirs of Gorg Blau and Cúber. Anyway consider once you arrive at the peak of today- 1027  meters at cum km 37-   you will enjoy 16 km downhill passing the enchanting village of Fornalutx.

For avid biker: at km 29 you can extend and take the ride downhill- road called Sa Calobra

Arrive in Soller ! this town lies in a valley surrounded by the grey-green hills of the Tramuntana.  Enjoy your 5 star hotel with pool on the roof and go to savour  a seafood dinner at one restaurant in the main square.

Day 5 – LOOP TO COLL DE SÓLLER & VALLDEMOSSA  Distance 54 Km/ 34 miles

In the morning, before you start riding ,  you can wander Soller’s peaceful often cobbled street : in the main square the gothic church with unusual Modernista facade, the church’s candelabra like summit is visible from all over the town. Do not miss  Sala Picasso & sala Mirò at train station, permanent art exhibition. The loop proposed is a beautiful cycle ride, exit  Sóller and  face soon the climb of the Coll de Sóller. The route packs in more than 1,000m of climbing, so is a great workout without spending all day on the saddle. The Coll de Soller is famous for its 61 hairpin bends. After a tunnel was built  the road is relatively free of traffic. Once at the peak you enjoy the downhill to Bunyola village, continue an easy ride until the  never ending  uphill  that leads to  the pretty town of Valdemossa – this is a perfect stop for a lunch. Now move on the coastal road towards the artists town of  Deià, admire the breathtaking scenery.   Back to Soller via the Coll de Bleda.

Day 6 – Sóller – Palma – 90  Km/ 56 miles – optional shortcut 48 km/30 miles

After fuelling up with breakfast, grab your bike and head north. Tranquil roads take you toward terraced hillsides, dotted with quaint hamlets and windmills tucked among olive and fruit groves. Continue  pedaling down the coast, tracing the turquoise Mediterranean past stepped mountain side, spectacular cliffs and stop  in your tracks viewpoints.

You’ll want to take time off your bike to visit the wonderful towns along this route as well, including 10th-century Banyalbufar, whose verdant marjades – stepped slopes- lead gracefully to the sea. Farther down the road, consider taking a break in charming Estellencs, which dates back to the Middle Ages and is known for its attractive stone streets, terraced plots of farmland, picturesque port and the remains of towers built to fend off pirates. Back on your bike, turn inland and feel the sea still following you riding through the always changing landscape until you reach Andratax. Leave the city at your back and take a narrow sea view road so stunning. Excapdella and Galilea look perfectly built in the natural landscape, from here it needs another  small effort to face the last  climb , a very narrow road in the wood that ends with a breathtaking downhill to Palma. You are finally arrived but ready to start again the day after.

Day 7 ADIOS

You are free to depart at your leisure after breakfast.
You have time to wander around the historical  buildings & Cathedral:  we suggest   the museu  el Baluard, and the Banys arabs.
